Andrea Brings Home A 3rd Place Finish At The Route 66 Season Opener
Starting her first full-time regional season, Andrea and her crew arrived at Mid-State Kart Club not knowing what to expect. After four dry practices on Saturday resulting in a drivable dry setup for Andrea, the skies opened up and poured on Sunday prior to first practice. The switch to rain tyres and shortened practice session was met with Andrea’s perseverance, and she qualified herself on the front row of the grid. The pre-final race was run in semi-wet conditions and Andrea again came in second position. The feature was run with a dry setup on a damp track. Recovering from a lap one, turn one, incident, the feature race was red flagged with a few laps to go, with a third place finish from AC Racing’s Andrea Crivello.
Hitting the Road For Race One
After a successful day of testing at Badger Raceway last week, AC Racing is prepped and ready compete in the Route 66 season opener at Mid-State Kart Club. Andrea will be leaving on Friday with her #99 kart and crew (John Gay and Raymond Crivello) to represent our sponsors In-House Machining and Oracal in Sunday’s race. 2012 Shedule Update: Race Dates Confirmed for the #77 Kart
Raymond Crivello has been confirmed for another season at Badger Raceway in the Bridgestone Points Series, driving the #77 kart. With Andrea running the #99 kart full-time in Route 66, Ray will be sitting out for a couple of the Bridgestone Points Series events to support AC-Racing’s regional racing efforts. Updated Partial Schedule
The 2012 schedule has been partially release. Though the 99 kart is being entered full-time in the Route 66 Series, plans for the 11 and 77 kart are still tentative. The 77 kart will most likely be running select races in Badger Kart Club’s Bridgestone Point Series. Stay tuned for updates on our race schedule and events.
